  • Legal basics
  • Understanding the key financial records
  • Cashflow scenario planning
  • The art and science of pricing
  • How to present the numbers, be it for budgeting or investors
  • Controls and processes, risk management
  • When to hire an accountant or book-keeper… or explore the latest Fintech solutions to use on your phone.
  • Funding options for creative and digital businesses

Part 2: Financial growth and planning

Building on the previous session, we'll look at financial planning and analysis. You’ll leave this workshop with useful templates that you can use to monitor your own finances and look to the future.

About our facilitator, Suzie Campbell:

Suzie is a Chartered Accountant with 23 years of finance and business strategy experience. Over her career Suzie has advised numerous start-ups, entrepreneurs and established organisations on business and financial planning.

Suzie brings substantial experience working in both the creative and digital sectors. She combines her role as co-founder at MetaValue with being part-time CFO and Board Director of Workfinder, an app which connects students and young people with work experience opportunities at exciting scale-up organisations. She has recently launched a new initiative, the White Space Collective, providing online workshops, training and advisory sessions to SMEs who are unable to benefit from funded programmes. Suzie is also a financial business advisor for Arts Council England and is on the board of Nottingham-based social enterprise Culture Syndicates CIC.

Suzie has a down-to-earth, accessible and friendly style and is passionate about working with people who are not financially qualified to de-mystify financial concepts, so that financial management no longer feels daunting but instead works for the organisation and entrepreneur’s needs and supports their growth.
