Breakfast lecture series for the creative community

A Big House Event supported by Mainframe.

What are creativemornings

In 2008, Tina Roth Eisenberg (Swissmiss) started CreativeMornings out of a desire for an ongoing, accessible event for New York’s creative community. The concept was simple: breakfast and a short talk one Friday morning a month. Every event would be free of charge and open to anyone.

Today, attendees gather in cities around the world to enjoy fresh coffee, friendly people, and an international array of breakfast foods. Volunteer hosts and their team members organize local chapters that not only celebrate a city’s creative talent, but also promote an open space to connect with like-minded individuals. The growing archive of past breakfast talks is humbling. From design legends to hometown heroes, speakers are selected by each chapter based on a global theme.

CreativeMornings remains free thanks to the support of local partners, generous venues, and longterm global partners. Everyone is welcome. Everyone is creative. Just register beforehand to reserve your spot. And if you need a little help convincing your boss to let you attend, we’ve got you covered. Remember to set your alarm, and we’ll see you in the morning!

Monthly Theme - Promise

A promise is doing something “because I said I would.” Promises can come in all shades, depths, and forms: appointments, acts of kindness, creating and quitting habits, agreements, and resolutions. Thanks to life’s unpredictability, we make and break them all the time.

But what is the value and impact of being individuals of our word?

Accountability and commitment expert Alex Sheen explains, “A promise can be a recognition of a simple fact. A promise can be a random act of kindness. You can pretend to care, but you can’t pretend to show up.”

In the Albanian culture, the word “Besa” means a code of honor and faithfulness, it exceeds the meaning of merely keeping a promise, thus becoming mythologized in its divinity as a solemn oath.

Promises that are made and kept are exchanges of power. We invite you to make and keep one promise to yourself and one promise to others this year. When applied towards positive impact, even the smallest fulfilled promises can create meaningful ripples of change.

Our Tirana chapter chose our the first month’s exploration of Promise and the talented Jolin Matraku illustrated it.

January Speaker - Jonny Prest

Seed’s Creative Director, Jonny Prest AKA Brand Master Flash, prides himself on his creative leadership, ballsy approach and sense of humour.

Your brand is your community: your staff, stakeholders and customers’ connectedness with you. So build something that really connects. Blow past the obvious; snub the cliché and push ideas until they are powerful, meaningful and at the highest standard reachable.

Jonny’s approach to brand strategy and marketing is refreshing, fun and built on common sense. Time for an intelligent, fresh perspective
