WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

Mailchimp is a free email marketing tool that is loaded with features and perfect to get up and running send out email campaigns out to your customers.

Email marketing is an extremely powerful way to keep in touch with your audience. Even though only part of your marketing strategy, it is still a huge channel and can be used to keep in touch with prospects as well as existing customers.

I’m this workshop we will cover why email marketing is important, covering the basics of how to use in your business. We will take you through all the steps need to get set up and running, set up and running so you are ready to send your first email campaign.

We’ve chosen to use Mailchimp for this workshop as there is a free version which will cover you up to your fist 2000 subscribers. So you can jump straight in and get going without spending anything on software. By the end of the workshop, you will be ready to send your first campaign.

WHAT WE WILL COVER

- Why use email as a marketing channel?

- Creating a MailChimp account and choosing your plan

- Initial set up checklist

- Sending from your business domain.

- Opt-in, vs double opt-in and GDPR

- Setting up your audience

- Unsubscribing rules

- Importing your existing contents

- Create a template you can reuse

- Create your first email

- Create an automated welcome email when people join your list

REQUIREMENTS:

This is a beginners workshop so no experience is necessary as we will be starting from the very beginning. You will be following along live as we get you set up so you just need your computer.

WHO IS IT FOR?

Start-up or established businesses. The workshop has been developed for people looking to solve problems and innovate, adapt their mindset to look through a new lens and solve challenges creatively.

WHO IS BERTIE CORDINGLEY?

Bertie Cordingley is a serial entrepreneur with many businesses under his belt. Bertie has founded companies from the idea stage, right through to multi-million exits. Bertie has experienced all types of start-ups, from bootstrapping to raising investment.

He is best known for founding the hugely successful fillmybelly.com in 2006, which acquired by Just Eat in 2012. Bertie then went on to be a director at Just Eat for 3 years, overseeing further acquisitions which were key to their growth and subsequent IPO.

Bertie has a deep-rooted passion for helping other business owners reach their potential and is now working as a business coach. Bertie specialises in working with business owners get the most out of their businesses by sharing experience and working alongside them.
