A Big House Event, supported by the Creative Quarter in association with Young Creatives Nottingham.
ABOUT THIS EVENT
A space for our younger creatives to to connect, network, hatch plans, collaborate, skill share, be curious, ask questions and discuss all things creative, digital, entrepreneurship, business, and beyond. If you are aged 16-25, this event is especially designed for you, although all ages are welcome.

Benjamin Kay, The Carousel
The Carousel is a work place and event space. A community of artists, freelancers and small businesses. They host an inspiring cultural programme for anyone interested in exploring their own creativity.
Samantha Famulare, Groubook
Sam is originally from the US but came to Nottingham Trent University on a basketball scholarship 3 years ago to get her Masters.
Groubook is a pre-booking app, currently partnered with 5 University Student Unions including NTU. Our app supports students when booking and organising events at local venues. They're partnered with bars, restaurants and activity providers, including national chains like Revolution, Greene King Pubs, and Stonegate.
Art of Football Ltd is the creation of Nottingham brothers Gabe & Luke Cuthbert. The website was launched on 4th December 2013 when Gabe was still doing A levels and Luke was in the final year of his Biology degree at Leeds. In that first 3 weeks up to Christmas they had 50 orders. Now they employ 12 full time staff plus seasonal temporary workers, have a studio in London and are currently looking for bigger premises in Nottingham. In the 3 weeks to Christmas 2021 they had nearly 12,000 orders and have customers in 56 different countries. So far this year they shared collaborations with Mitre, Nike and Umbro.
This panel discussion and networking event has been specifically designed for young creatives aged 16-25, to inspire and encourage young people to think about pursuing a career in the Creative Industries in Nottingham.
Everyone is welcome, but if you are based in Nottinghamshire or Derbyshire and run a creative or digital business, or have an idea for one you would like to start, we recommend you also enrol for The Big House programme. You can find out more information about this programme at bighouse.org.uk.

WHAT IS THE BIG HOUSE PROGRAMME?
The Big House offers fully-funded business support, mentoring, workshops, networking events and access to grants for creative and digital businesses in Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire. YOUNG CREATIVES NOTTINGHAM
Open to 11-24 year olds who live, study or work in Nottingham, the annual Young Creative Awards - run by charity Young Creatives Nottingham - give young people the chance to show off their skills across a wide variety of creative categories: Animation & Digital Media, Creative Writing, Dance, Design & Architecture, Fashion & Textiles, Film, Graphic Design, Music, Photography, Theatre and Visual Arts. Winners receive cash prizes; training, development and mentoring opportunities; involvement in exhibition and events; and links with industry experts.
