What is audio description? How does it work? And how can small to mid-scale theatre makers provide AD on a tight budget?
This workshop will give you an introduction to how audio description works - including the chance to have a go yourself - ideas on how to include AD without breaking the budget, and tips on how to reach and develop visually-impaired audiences for your work, whether it be traditionally staged theatre, digital work or site-specific performance.
You will come away feeling confident in how AD works and how you can incorporate it into your own work.
Led by Louisa Sanfey, a Theatre Director and Dramaturg with over ten years' experience working as an Audio Describer.
