A Big House Event supported by Creative Quarter & delivered by Tim Elliott

This workshop will guide you through an exploration of human centered design: what it is, what it isn’t and how it can help you to deliver the best results for the people you are designing for.

Human centered design is often misunderstood. Human centered design is not 'design thinking'. Human centered design is not just for tech companies. Human centered design encourages you to focus on the people you are creating for. It's a way of thinking and working that keeps the human needs you’re trying to meet at the centre.

Tim Elliott has worked in the creative industries for over 23 years which means over the last couple of decades, he's been at the table having strategic conversations with 1000's of businesses and leaders, helping them understand how to apply creativity strategically so that they can do better work and do work better.

Today, his work regularly involves delivering keynotes at events, speaking to leadership teams internally at organisations as well as at leadership groups, masterminds and retreats, delivering lectures and seminars and facilitating workshops.

He is a lifelong student and practitioner of a creative process called human-centred design so all of the talks and workshops he delivers are designed to give you a new way to think about the challenges that you face in the world of work.

The 'day job' is heading up The Spill Teem® UK, a global team of design strategists who work with organisations to help them shift their thinking culture, solve problems and grow using Human-Centered Design.

Registration from 9.30am with the event starting at 9.45am. We aim to finish by 12.30pm. ** Please arrive before 9.45am as we do not allow entry after this time to minimise disruption to the rest of the group.

You will receive confirmation or the Zoom details by email 2 days prior from a Big House email address (please check your junk).

You should come prepared to engage about your business or business idea with the group. Our events are highly interactive and therefore we ask that you can have your camera switched on and be able to talk and discuss at different points of the morning.

The Big House events are free to you because they are funded – however, there is a cost attached to them for us and we are a not-for-profit organisation. So, if you have registered to come, your place will have been paid for. Our events are popular and we often have a waiting list. With this in mind, if for any reason you are unable to attend please cancel your event on Eventbrite as soon as possible to enable someone else to take your place.
