WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

In this session, we will cover a wide range of topics that you need to consider as part of having a successful online presence. The focus will be:

- on your brand

- your customer's experience

- the importance of content

- what platforms to use

- how to measure success

- what to do after you launch.

By the end of the session you'll have some questions to ask yourself, some practices to use when creating or improving your website, and how to track if you're doing the right thing.

WHO IS IT FOR?

This workshop is ideal for all businesses from start-ups to those aspiring to grow that are either beginning to think about putting together a website to those considering developing their site further or outsourcing development.

WHO IS JON MARTIN?

Jon is Hallam’s Technical Director and is the primary source of technical leadership and innovation for Hallam web team. Jon has a wide range of knowledge covering the entire cycle of development, from project management, specification, development, hosting architecture and after site support. He is also a certified Scrum Master.

Having operated within the IT industry for 15 years and specifically within web and development for over 10, Jon has a wide range of experience within many areas of the technical industries. Jon setup BigSpring with Julio in 2008 and after merging with Hallam in 2017, continues to lead the development and technical side of our operations.

Previously Jon worked with DSGi PLC in a variety of technical roles, most recently within Business Intelligence. Prior to that, he was a graduate of Electrical & Electronic Engineering at the University of Nottingham.

Jon is a lover of music (particularly all things Rock & Metal), plays guitar, is extremely tall, and practices Bushido Martial Arts.

WHEN IS IT?

Tuesday 26 January 9.30am til 12.30pm via ZOOM. Info about how to join will be sent out prior to the event.

On the day: Be ready to engage. This is a workshop so please make sure you turn up ready to take part with your mics and cameras on. We will be talking about your business and working as a group.

This event is free but you must be enrolled with The Big House. Space is limited, so make sure to book your ticket today to guarantee your place.
