WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

This workshop will help you start to define what's important to you, what you enjoy doing and what you're good at, so you can start planning for your future.

The My Way Project has worked with people from early start-up ideas, through to new recruits in business. The project's mission is to improve the prospects of people in Nottingham and help them build their dream lives their way.

Debbie Clarke will be running the workshop. She is co-author of the toolkit alongside Isobel O'Neill and Alexandra Harwick. Debbie Clarke runs debbiedooodah and is a business & marketing coach supporting entrepreneurs build businesses they love.

WHO IS IT FOR?

Anyone wanting to zero in on their strengths, values and ideas during a transitional point in their lives. Maybe you've been re-thinking your direction during lockdown, while on furlough or maybe you've been made redundant. It could be that you need to pivot your business or where you work or start completely afresh. This will help set you up for that journey.

WHO IS DEBBIEDOOODAH?

Debbie Clarke aka debbiedooodah started her business in 2013 as a single mum after winning a fight with cancer. She works with creative entrepreneurs to supporting them to create financial freedom.

She’s founded the Indie Freedom Seekers Academy, the Blue Stockings Society, the Women Who Create Podcast and co-authored ‘My Business My Way’ with Nottingham University.

Debbie was voted one of the top 30 inspirational marketers in 2020. In 2019 she was named a top 100 f:entrepreneur, a top 50 twitter influencer for gender diversity, her podcast was named one of the top 5 UK podcasts for Women in Business and ‘My business My Way’ won Ingenuity19. She’s been featured in Forbes and The Guardian amongst other publications.

WHEN IS IT?

Online via Zoom on Monday 28 September. Registration from 9.30am with the course starting at 9.45am. We aim to finish 12.30pm.

** Please note that we will not allow anyone in after 9.45am to minimise disruption to the group.

You will receive joining instructions from a Creative Quarter email address the day before the event. This is an interactive and collaborative session so please ensure that your camera is on throughout and you are ready to engage fully with the content.

This event is free but you must be enrolled with The Big House. Space is limited, so make sure to book your ticket today to guarantee your place. Please note: If you have already accessed 12 or more hours of support you will be placed on a waiting list - your place is not guaranteed until you receive confirmation from The Big House Events Team.
