Join Antonia and a group of like minded creatives on this workshop as we look into the do's and don'ts of how to approach a gallery professionally and appropriately. What to send out when and how to get noticed in this competitive market. With added advice on trade shows and tips on making direct selling events more profitable and learn what you need to do to prepare for an upcoming selling event.

WHO IS ANTONIA DISNEY?

Antonia has owned the Focus Gallery for over four years and set up the Nottingham Jewellery school in that time. She graduated in 2008 from staffordshire university from a design crafts degree and went onto Derby university to complete a post graduate certificate in Enterprise management whilst setting up her own jewellery business working with galleries. In this time she also worked in a craft gallery in Leicestershire for six years and was also management in high street jewellers.

Now she manages the gallery and jewellery school in Nottingham with her staff and volunteers. The gallery stocks near on 100 artists and hosts 10 exhibitions a year over two floors and Antonia runs workshops in jewellery, glass, ceramics including business workshops for creatives.

WHO IS IT FOR?

Pre-start, start-ups & SME designers makers wanting to approach galleries to sell their products.

WHEN IS IT?

Thursday 9 May 2019 - registration from 5.45pm with the course starting at 6pm & we aim to finish for 9pm. We will provide refreshments & light snacks.

HOW DO I BOOK TICKETS?

This event is free, but space is limited. You must be enrolled with The Big House. Space is limited, so make sure to book your ticket today to guarantee your place.

PLEASE NOTE: The Big House events are free to you, because they are funded – however there is a cost attached to them for us and we are a not-for-profit organisation. So, if you have registered to come, your place will have been paid for. Our events are very popular and we often have a waiting list. With this in mind, if for any reason you are unable to attend it is very important that you cancel your ticket on Eventbrite as soon as possible, to enable someone else to take your place.
