Workshop 1: What do you do and for whom? Finding your niche and create your brand

  • What’s branding?
  • Why is branding so important for small creative businesses?
  • What are your 3 favourite creative brands? And why?
  • What do you want to be known for? Starting to focus and identify your niche and position yourself better.
  • What do you really sell and who are your ideal clients? Start to create a client persona and collages.
  • What are your 5 brand values?
  • How to turn your brand values into a real-life brand – without spending a fortune?
  • How can you create a strong brand?
  • Storytelling … Why is this so important for small creative businesses?
  • What stories can you tell and how will you share them?

This session is full of creative exercises and visual examples of other small creative businesses. It will really help you to get much clearer about what you want to do, who your ideal clients are, and what you stand for as a creative. You will create your own mini-action plans with activities to improve your own brand to attract your ideal clients.

Homework in advance of this workshop: Do a competitor analysis, ‘why do you do what you do?’, and what are your 3 favourite creative brands?

Homework after this workshop: 3 client personas/ collages and bring to next session.
