This workshop is for service providers who are looking to sharpen up their pricing strategy and answer the question 'Am I charging what I'm really worth to my target audience?'

During the event, you will disucss & learn the following:

  • Terminology – How different people ask for prices depending on who you are selling to
  • Understanding your market – It is important to know who you are selling to (and it’s not you), also where you’re selling, what your routes to market are, which channels you are going to use.
  • How to work out what to charge – Looking at all the things you need to consider when it comes to pricing - including competitor rates
  • Different types of pricing calculations and knowing your worth – Fixed price vs profit share
  • Pricing that benefits you vs Pricing that benefits the customer
  • What outside influences are there when it comes to pricing – Location, economy, seasons - Service ranges and offers
  • How customers perceive value with a single service and within a range of service, what offers are available to customers and how to deal with customers who barter
  • How is it best to charge for time? – Hourly rate vs flat fee


Entrepreneurs & start-up service providers including but not limited to photographers, graphic designers, web designers. You should bring details / examples of their services & prices to share with the group. they would tell the group what they do and what they currently charge or if it is a pre-start up what they feel they should charge.


Ben Rawson, Bric Consultancy offers a business advisory service for startup businesses including business planning and management, pricing. Business reviews carried out with established businesses to help improve business well-being, business perception, PR, management, problem solving. Ben also owns Rawson Photography, commercial photography including products, real estate, events andbusiness portraits.


Registration from 1.30pm with the course starting at 1.45pm. We aim to finish at 4.30pm. Refreshments will be provided.
