Event information / agenda

A space to connect, network, forge relationships, hatch plans, collaborate, skill share, be curious, ask questions and discuss all things entrepreneurship, business and beyond.

To welcome in the New Year & our first Creatives' Club of 2019, we are looking at the topic of "Running a Location Independent Business" with Kerry Needs, author of Freedom Seekers & Nick Hayward, from Freelance Freedom.

Recent studies have suggested that 80% of millennials would like to work remotely and lots of coworking and coliving spots around the world show that the 'digital nomad' trend is here to stay.

Together, Kerry & Nick will discsuss the future of work, working whilst travelling the world, freelancing and remote working, and designing your work around the life you'd ideally want to live.

They have taken their businesses around the world, living and working from places such as Thailand, Gran Canaria, Bali and Lisbon. They have worked in lots of coworking spots and stayed in coliving accommodation and are both passionate about communicating this new way of living and working.

Plus we will also hear from Ross Cox, Dispace.

Dispace is an online flexible working platform that gives it members access to ‘worker friendly’ venues across the UK, where they are welcome to sit down, plug in and get their heads down to work. It also provides very competitive meeting space by the hour, half day and day. Dispace delivers this by partnering with inspiring bars, cafes, restaurants, hotels and retailers who have spare capacity during the working week that can easily be re-thought as spaces for working. In addition, Dispace has agreed an exclusive set of food and drink benefits with these venues so members can fuel their work whilst they are there. Dispace in an online service that members can use to find locations and check-in to those locations to access the space and the benefits, and the service also includes a community feature that allows members to network, arrange meet-ups and do business together.

There will also be a business advice desk run by an industry expert where you can grab some invaluable time to ask those all-important questions face-to-face.

Meet like-minded people in a friendly environment, enjoy a drink and some food. Have real conversations, meet your future business partner or customer. Whilst you’re here we’ll introduce you to all the free business courses, talks and workshops on offer to you, here in Nottingham as part of The Big House.

Impression is a multi-award winning digital marketing agency who have very kindly donated their space to us for this Creatives' Club. We are also extremely grateful to them for sponsoring the refreshments during the evening.
